MAPh workshop | Sculpting with the body

About
Sculpting with the Body is a 3-hour photography workshop that reimagines the human body as a sculptural material for abstract expression. Guided by artists Prue Stent and Honey Long, participants will explore a range of techniques to manipulate and transform the body into a medium that conveys profound, abstract emotions.Expect:
- experimentation with angles, light, objects, lenses, and materials to create unique visual narratives
- to both capture images and become the subject
- guided activities including timed five-minute sculptures inspired by Erwin Wurm
- collaborative exercises in pairs, where participants explore inventive ways to incorporate the body into their work
Bring your own camera—DSLR, film camera, or an iPhone—and objects or materials you would like to use in experimentation.
