Forget about the Melbourne Cup and get involved in Mataranka Schools Great Rubber Duck Race! This October Mataranka School is running a Rubber Duck Race to raise money for our students upcoming Grade 5/6 Interstate excursion to Canberra.

To enter the race the cost is $11 per duck and each duck entry will be allocated a number, with the winning duck taking home $500! The race will be held at the beautiful Bitter Springs, Mataranka, NT on Friday the 24th of October at 11:30am. For those people not able to make it to the event in person, you can watch live online on the schools Facebook page.

Please note that duck numbers will be posted to the school's facebook page the day before the race.

All ducks entered into the race will be released from the steps in Bitter Springs. The ducks will make their way down the springs with the winning duck being the first duck to cross the finish line at the bridge.
