Combining 2 of our favourites at NightSkySecrets, we are doing a combined gold panning and Astronomy camp at The Golden Spear Mine.We will meet at the Palmer River Roadhouse on the Mulligan Hwy.
After an optional coffee and brunch at the roadhouse we head to our hosts at the Golden Spear Mine, to set up camp and get stuck into panning for gold. We will teach you the tricks and secrets for fine gold recovery and will have some pans for you to use. (Complete Panning kits available for purchase too) After dinner we will take you on a guided tour of the night sky with a large apature telescope to show you the hidden Star Clusters, Nebula and galaxies in the Milky Way 🌌
We finish off the night with billy tea around the campfire.
Sunday morning 🌅 we are back into Gold panning and (sluicing if conditions permit)
We wrap up around lunchtime and finish off with a burger 🍔 at the Palmer river roadhouse and swapping tales of our adventure and (hopefully) showing off our gold finds
