The Development of Personality Factors
in Gifted Children
The focus of Professor Jolly’s presentation will address the role personality factors play in talent development (as situated in Gagne's model) and how they inform identification of students for gifted programs and services, particularly as these factors are malleable.

Jennifer L. Jolly, Ph.D., is an honorary Professor in gifted education at the University of New South Wales. Currently, she is also a Professor of gifted education at the University of Alabama and co-editor-in-chief for the Journal for the Education for the Gifted. Her research interests include the history of gifted education, homeschooling, and parents of gifted children. Her work has been published in journals such as Gifted Child Quarterly, Journal of Intelligence, High Ability Studies, Roeper Review, and Gifted Child Today. She also co-edited (with Jane Jarvis) Exploring Gifted Education: Australian and New Zealand Perspectives (Routledge).
