David Gilkes - Designing Learning for the Curious Child
About
Designing Learning for the Curious Child: Unfolding stories of thinkingAs educators, how do we plan and design for curiosity, dispositions, theories and ideas? How can we embrace possibilities for shared research and stretching thinking? What is the role of documentation in supporting us to make decisions and engage the planning cycle more authentically? How might this way of working support us to create a culture of inquiry within our contexts?
These are just some of the questions this session will explore, through a mix of presentation and discussion time, as well as sharing of examples.
Continuing on from Session 1s learning, Session 2 will be an opportunity to take a deeper dive into the crucial 'Analyse and Interpret Learning' stage of the Planning Cycle. Emphasis will be on the critical role that documentation plays in our analysis and interpretation and exploring the question, "What makes documentation 'pedagogical documentation'?"
