About
The Mathematical Association of Victoria (MAV) is the Victorian professional membership body for mathematics educators and schools across the education sector. MAV’s role is to support educators in developing and delivering programs that challenge our students and develop educator skills in the implementation of evidence-based teaching and learning approaches.Dr. Pollitt is a member of the MAV and research fellow at the University of Melbourne. The Association is currently building a profile in the early childhood sector to support teachers to deliver Maths learning in developmentally engaging and stimulating ways. Dr Pollitt will discuss her research interest in early childhood mathematics teaching and learning, highlighting practical ways to promote educators’ pedagogy and mathematical knowledge.
