Session 1: Stress cascade: hormones, sleep & heart health

To celebrate Women's Health Week, Kalamunda Library will be featuring two incredibly insightful and informative educational sessions for Women, presented by LUMA, who specialise in women’s health and wellbeing.
Session 1:
Stress cascade: hormones, sleep and heart health
1pm - 2pm
Explores the powerful yet often overlooked links between chronic stress, hormonal disruption, sleep disturbances, and cardiovascular disease. This talk breaks down the science behind how the chronic stress cycle triggers hormonal imbalances—particularly involving cortisol—and how these changes can impair sleep and increase long-term cardiac risk. Learn about practical strategies to interrupt the cycle of chronic stress and protect heart health.
Guests will be treated to a wonderful afternoon tea in between sessions to celebrate Women's Health Week. Guests are welcome to attend either or both information sessions. This event is free; however, bookings are kindly requested.
