Ever wanted to grow your own food, preserve the harvest, and live more sustainably?We’re excited to announce plans for our Six-Module Self-Sufficiency Course — to be held at the Colac Neighbourhood House — and we’d love to know who’s interested to attend!
This hands-on, practical course is designed for everyday people looking to build useful, seasonal skills such as:
• Understanding what self-sufficiency can look like in your life
• Growing your own seedlings
• Setting up a productive veggie patch
• Installing irrigation and troubleshooting common garden challenges
• Preserving your harvest
• Seed saving & garden planning
• Integrating small animals, berries, and fruit trees into your space
Location: Colac Neighbourhood House.
Format: 2-hour sessions, once a month on a Sunday afternoon.
Months: August, September, October, November, February & March Small group, practical, and community focused.
