AATD(SA) Present: Visual Concepts in Maths for DHH Learners

The Australian Association of Teachers of the Deaf (SA) invites you to a 1.5-hour professional learning session with Claire Morrison, exploring practical, visually rich strategies for teaching key maths concepts to deaf and hard of hearing students. Drawing on her extensive experience, Claire will share effective approaches for building conceptual understanding. Strategies will reflect R–6 curriculum areas, with practical relevance for R–12 educators.Auslan/English interpreters will be provided.

About the presenter:
Claire Morrison is an experienced teacher and interpreter with a background in primary, secondary, and adult deaf education. She holds a Master’s degree focused on teaching maths to deaf learners and writes curriculum for the Deaf Gain program at Adelaide TAFE.
