Weave and Wonder Basketry Workshop with Catriona Pollard (SOLD OUT)

About
Unleash your creativity in this joyful, hands-on workshop with award-winning fibre artist Catriona Pollard. You’ll learn the ancient and beautiful looping technique using paper cord to craft your light, sculptural basket—no experience needed, just your curiosity and a sense of play.Once you've mastered the basics, you’ll create a few more woven baskets—one to take home, and the rest will become part of a collaborative sculpture to hang at Sculpture on the Farm, 29–31 August. You'll be listed as a contributor on the sculpture at Sculpture on the Farm. Together, we’ll turn individual creations into a breathtaking, larger-scale artwork that celebrates community, connection, and creativity.
Every loop you weave adds strength and meaning to the whole, symbolising how our individual efforts come together to form something truly special. You’ll leave with a beautiful basket, new skills, and the joy of knowing your art will live on as part of a shared masterpiece. Let’s weave, connect, and create something unforgettable.
Suitable for beginners - no prior basketry experience needed. All material is included.
