This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with Ukrainian culture through the lens of powerful storytelling—while directly supporting Ukrainian volunteer initiatives.Stay Online is the first Ukrainian feature film created during the ongoing war. Told in a unique and gripping "screenlife" format, the story follows Katya, a volunteer in Kyiv, who receives a video call from Sava, a young boy searching for his missing parents. As she explores the contents of a soldier’s laptop, Katya sets off on a digital and emotional journey to help reunite the family—risking her safety in the process.
Join us at the Sun Theatre in Yarraville for a meaningful day of film, community, and solidarity. This screening is more than a film day—it's a bridge between communities. Through Stay Online, we hope to share a powerful Ukrainian message with Australian audiences: that even in the darkest of times, courage, compassion, and human connection prevail.
