Family Play Connections - Tailored Private Play Sessions

About FAMILY play CONNECTIONS
Private Family Play sessions are an opportunity for you and your child/children to build connections with each other, stories, nature and intentionally created activities. The sessions are tailored to suit your child's interests and skill level, as well as being adapted to suit your family situation. Each session is unique and invites your child to explore purposefully designed playthings created with natural, recycled and everyday materials.
The intention of the sessions is twofold. The first is to create an engaging morning of caretive and skillbuilding activties for your child to enjoy. The second is to empower you with ideas for play, learning and helping your child to build connections.
As a parent, teacher and designer, I have created these private sessions to empower families to be confident with play. My mission is to help families create playful experiences, make connections, learn and grow. Underpinning everything I do is my motto - Food Grows Bodies, PLAY GROWS MINDS.
session details & format
The sessions are for children aged 0 - 7 years. I can adapt the session for multiple ages and give you strategies on how to create playful experiences that cater to the needs of all children. I can run a Private Family Play Session for up to four children maximum.
If you wish yto host a session with more children, please get in touch so we can discuss a Private Group Session package.
There are two format options:
OPTION 1 - ONE HOUR, 30 MINS (ENGAGING PLAY AND LEARNING)
*OPTION 2 - TWO HOURS ((ENGAGING PLAY AND LEARNING + A CRAFT OR COOKING PROJECT)
The sessions are this length to allow time for the activities as well as time for me to build a relationship with your child. My aim is for children to feel comfortable, enjoy the activities for as long as they wish and also have time for incidental show and tell, snacks or any other side play that comes along. The format also allows time for me to explain the potential extension each activtiy offers.
SESSION TIMES:
You can specify the session timing that suits you upon booking. Sessions can be from 9.30am to 2pm.
WHAT DOES A SESSION INVOLVE & INCLUDE:
The sessions follow a format but this will be adapted as needed to suit your child and their needs. The format is approximately:
- Get to know your child.
- Enjoy a story to inspire follow on play.
- Explore numerous activties to suit your child's skill level. These could be sensory, practical, pretend, gross motor, fine motor or creative play. The activties are created using natural, recycled and everyday materials.
- Adult discussion about options for play, the potential for learning and extension.
- *Optional craft or cooking activity - See Option 2 above. (Additional costs may be applied if bulk ingredients are needed).
- Follow up email - this will cotain photos of the activties and include advice and suggestions on how to continue this play and learning yourself. This means all parents and carers can benefit from the session, even if they are not present on the day.
IMPORTANT- PLAY to Be cannot take on duty of care - please ensure you are present to supervise your child/children at all times. You and your child will gain the most from the experience if you engage in the play together.
booking options
CASUAL BOOKINGS - See calendar to book specific dates. You can book one or many sessions. I recommend booking a few sessions to start as this will give you the most value in terms of what you and your child will gain and learn from the experience. It enables me to get to know you and your child, and tailor the session to match what they like, where they are at and your family situation.
Location
I come to you! Travel costs are included in the booking however additional travel costs may need to be applied if travel exceeds 20 mins each way for ongoing bookings. I am happy to travel as far as Joondalup in the North, Belmont in the East and Fremantle in the South.
CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
'Danielle from Play to Be has been working with my two children - ages 3.5 yrs and 16 months for 4 months now on weekly play sessions. I was keen to engage her as we don’t do daycare so I wanted some educational knowledge around nature based play within my home and to help my nanny with learning and fun tools. The detail that Danielle goes to with the weekly sessions is amazing. Not only are the sessions engaging with both children they are educational. My son says on numerous occasions, the other day we learn about…… …..with Danielle or similar!
The artwork and things that are made in the sessions are also incredible. I see a huge gap in the market for Danielle's services as parents are keen to get their kids of screens but we are all so busy so need all the help and tips we can get.'
Kate
'Danielle is a kind and bubbly person who knows how to approach children and create activties to suit their age and development. While being professional, she is also empathetic, shows passion and has a beautiful heart. We are always looking forward to our sessions every week! Thank you Danielle'
