Social Sketch or Paint on Location - Free event

Come along and paint on location with other like-minded artists at the Alice Springs Telegraph Station Historical Reserve on the 12th of August, 2025 between 10 am and 1 pm.This is a free social event for artists of all abilities to come along experience working en plein air (which is really just a fancy way of saying working on location). It is aimed at providing people with the opportunity to network and learn from each other.
There is no formal tuition however the session will be run by Linda MacAulay, an award winning plein air artist from Melbourne who has worked extensively in Central Australia.
Participants must be over the age of 14 and bring along all their own art materials plus a chair, hat and water. Artists are welcome to work in any medium.
Tuesday 12 th August 10 am till 1 pm.
Meet on the banks of the Todd River just up from the toilets at the Telegraph Station Historical Reserve.
