Supreme” a community spoken word & musical celebration
of the life and musical journey of iconic saxophonist John
Coltrane. As a sideman of Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk,
and leader of the John Coltrane Quartet, his musical legacy
of excellence continues to inspire across genres, continents,
and generations. Open mic participants are encouraged to
but not required to respond with poetry/prose inspired by the
many sounds and musical paths walked on by this giant of
