About
Assess Critically Think (ACT) Now is a specially designed one day course for all nurses to develop skills in early recognition and response to acute patient deterioration.Course Includes:
• Enhance use of ASSESSMENT skills – Primary and Secondary Survey
• Enhance CRITICAL THINKING - Understanding of Observation and Response Charts - Understand the importance of Patient and Carer Escalation contribution.
• Improve awareness of strategies that assist in the escalation of care
o Use of ISBAR
o Use of graded assertiveness
• Basic Life Support
• Team Training & Non-Technical Skills (CRM principles) - Culture of Teamwork – Let’s fill each other’s buckets not put holes in them.
