Writing an abstract (on-campus)
About
Abstracts communicate large amounts of information in a very short space and are often the first impression a reader has of your research, so they may influence whether an examiner examines your thesis or whether a paper is accepted for publication/conference. You need to write several kinds of abstracts during your candidature and this practical workshop discusses how to develop each kind. There are in-class activities as well as examples and tips on writing abstracts. This workshop will be held on campus only.Facilitated by Dr Jo McFarlane, Centre for Learning and Teaching
