Our aim for this study day is to provide education to nursing staff who care for paediatric patients or those who may have an interest in the paediatric perioperative environment.
This study day will involve paediatric surgeons and anaesthetists educating participants on topics that include:
- Managing hydrocephalus
- Understanding Cleft care
- Neonatal anaesthesia
- Orthopaedic trauma
- Pain management in paediatrics
- Difficult paediatric airways
- OSA and pre op management
- Paediatric colorectal
- Communicating with paediatric patients
- Caring for endoscopy patients
- Organ procurement/donate life
