Foundry Winter Workshop 2025 (SOLD OUT)
About
Monash Forge Forging Winter Workshops are back for 2025! In each 3 hour session, you'll learn how to create intricate moulds for liquid aluminium/bronze with our specialised sand. You'll get to choose and pack from a range of different moulds that we'll pour molten metal into, and you'll get to take it home!You may bring your own pattern to cast provided that it is free from overhangs, and includes draft angles.
We recommend 3D printing your pattern but you can also sculpt or carve with wax, wood, or clay.

NOTE: involves continuous, minor physical activity and sand particles.

This is an 18+ ONLY event.
For safety, you will also be required to provide your own PPE. This includes:
- 100% cotton long sleeve shirt or button-up
- 100% cotton/denim pants
- Steel-capped shoes
