About
Insect Mania - Embroidering the Natural World
Historical textiles often feature fantastical embroidery designs. Some of the most popular designs in the Elizabethan and Victorian eras drew inspiration from the natural world.
The embroidery of insects - both in visible mending and as decorative items has recently had a resurgence in popularity.
Join Artistic Disorder, for this workshop, where you’ll learn some basic techniques in hand embroidery, which remain unchanged throughout the ages, and embroider a small design to take home.
