Come and learn about the bats that have been detected in Jirdarup and join the conversation of what next.Ry Beaver, who has been monitoring bats in Jirdarup since June 2023, will share his knowledge of bats and his findings. These microbats are insectivores and may well be passing through your backyard. Most people will neither see nor hear them.
Morning tea provided, entry is free and donations appreciated. Weather permitting, a guided walk through Jirdarup will follow the presentation.
Getting there is easy. To walk, ride or drive, follow google maps to Harold Rossiter Reserve. For public transport, take the 960 to Kent St bus stops 27500 or 27499 and walk 200 metres across the oval.
This event is organised by the Friends of Jirdarup Bushland and sponsored by the Town of Victoria Park Urban Bushland Strategy.
