In January 2026, 16 volunteers will head off to the Kilimanjaro region of Tanzania to work at Kiwalaa Primary School.We have three main goals whilst we are at the school:
1. Renovate the classrooms - paint walls, concrete floors, install shelving and supply teaching materials and resources specifically targeted at each grade level.
2. Create a school library - The current library is an empty room. We aim to, clean and paint the space before building shelving and starting the process of stocking the shelves with reading materials.
3. Set up the school vegetable gardens - For many students, the lunch provided at school is the only substantial meal students receive. We will plant a range of vegetables that can eventually be used to feed the students and provide much needed nutrients.
We are also hoping to gift every student in the school with a fully stocked pencil case!
