GamesPond is an annual, Melbourne-based game showcase that bridges the gap between industry professionals and emerging game developers. Our goal is to create a space for game developers to interact with industry professionals who are seeking an accessible way to give back to the local games community.

WHAT TO EXPECT

GamesPond is a games showcase and networking event that brings together industry professionals to support the new generation of Australian game developers. Play 24 of the latest games from emerging developers alongside your industry colleagues, and enjoy a night of connection and celebration.

Time: Thursday, August 28th, 6:30 PM AEST

Location: St. Kilda Town Hall - 99A Carlisle St, St Kilda VIC 3182

Food: The event is lightly catered with a delicious array of finger foods, non-alcoholic drinks, and a surprise dessert! (Halal, Vegan, Vegetarian & Gluten Free options are available).

Getting There: GamesPond recommends taking public transport to the venue if you are able. There is access via the #3 or #16 trams and Balaclava Train Station. While there is no dedicated parking at the Town Hall, there is ample on-street parking on Brighton Road, just outside St Kilda Primary School (approximately a 5-minute walk from the venue).

Entry: All attendees are required to have a ticket to gain entry unless they have confirmation of a Screen Australia funding round application.

Screen Australia Application Entry: For those of you working on Screen Australia applications due at 5 pm that day, GamesPond is offering free entry! Just show your application confirmation to a volunteer at the door. A volunteer will take some details from you (for security purposes), and then you will be allowed entry.
