Introduction to Circle work - Rockhampton 2025
Working in circles in the classroom promotes belonging, connection and inclusion. Circlework is a relational pedagogy. Educators can use circlework in a variety of learning contexts.
In this workshop you will explore:
WHY CIRCLEWORK?
The Science of Belonging - we are biologically wired to connect with each other. Regulation and co-regulation are learnt through relationship and connection.
LEARN AND PRACTICE
Regulation routines - strategies to connect calm and focus
Checkin and Checkout circles - routines to build safe relationships
Social and Emotional Learning Circles - structured approach to explicit teach of social and emotional skills
Circles for learning
Dialogue and problem solving circles
This workshop is suitable for all educators. It is a highly engaging and practical day. Educators will learn and practice circles and will be provided with opportunities to plan and share and reflect on practice.
