Prize-winning Australian pianist Ayesha Gough – known for her captivating performances – plays works by Franz Schubert, Dimitri Shostakovich, Franz Liszt and Australian composer Peter Sculthorpe.The concert is titled ‘Purgatory’ and centres Liszt’s ‘Dante Sonata’, which is inspired by Dante’s Divine Comedy. And the audience is taken on an emotionally engaging musical journey from dark places to the light at the end. This program will showcase Ayesha’s superb technique and deeply emotional interpretations.
