Who wins when the story is lost?In development since late 2023, Thursday Group’s latest production Falling Heads is a co-devised work collated and directed by Matthew Crosby. Arising from Akutagawa Ryūnosuke's 1917 wartime short story, The Story of a Head that Fell Off, the performers draw on dialogue, acapella, dance, shadow play and reportage to engage with contemporary themes such as fake news, authoritarian
ideology and the schism between mind and body.
