Join us at Sydney Acting Studio from August 1–10 for our Grassroots Festival, featuring two compelling works. Precious Little Talent by Ella Hickson is a sharp, funny, and heartfelt play about love, disillusionment, and the struggle to find your place in a world that’s broken its promises. Directed by Madison Chippendale and starring Kate Wooden, Justin Knights, and Django Kulak, the story follows Joey, a bright graduate with debt, no direction, and an unexpected chance at connection.Paired with it is Another Round? by Roy Wallace‑Cant and Sam Walsh—a fresh, beer-fuelled comedy set in Sydney’s worst karaoke bar. Two childhood friends try to navigate adulthood and the slow drift of time, clinging to the threads of an old friendship in a rapidly changing world. Directed by Sam Walsh and featuring Seth Eren, James Papadakis, and Alison Brooker, it’s a wild, laugh-out-loud ride with plenty of heart. Both shows will be performed at Sydney Acting Studio, Redfern.
