With the 2025 National Poetry Slam competition kicking off in August, it’s a great time to select a poem and begin practicing your performance.To get you warmed up, Spoken Word SA, and Campbelltown Library are pleased to announce that we will be running a Slam Poetry Workshop in the lead up to the heats.
Join one of Spoken Word SA’s talented team members for a chance to explore slam poetry, follow a series of prompts to write a poem, perform in front of your peers and gain valuable feedback.
The Poetry Slam Workshop is a perfect opportunity for beginners to build their courage and for experienced poets to hone their skills.
Enter the slam heats with confidence for a chance to win cash prizes and the possibility of going all the way to the National Final in Sydney.
