About

During 2025/2026 District Governor Emma Davis will encourage Rotary members, clubs and their community to contribute to mental health first aid. MHFA is a Rotary program designed by Betty Kitchener AM and Professor Tony Jorm (2000). The training is evidence based, rigorously evaluated and informed by lived experience. Training courses and refresher sets our Rotarians and community stakeholders up for knowledge, skills and confidence to recognise, understand and respond to a friend, family member, co-worker, Rotarian or other community member experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis. This standard and refresher MHFA training involves early intervention, offering support, responding in crisis and reducing stigma. This fundraising will be spent in our District for our community members.
