Yellow (Foundation)
This level is important for embedding the basics of dog learning: establishing focus and engagement with your dog, marking desired behaviour, and using lure to train. When you and your dog have achieved the goals for Yellow you will be promoted to a Green class. Check your "Goals for Yellow" card so you know what the instructor will be looking for.
In the Yellow classes we work on building a relationship with your dog. You will teach your dog to focus, and to respond to lure, and you will use positive reinforcement by 'marking' behaviour and rewarding, usually with food treats. Your dog will interact with other dogs and will have fun.
Most members stay in the Yellow classes for 4-5 sessions, before moving to Green, the Intermediate classes.
