Bowerbird Storytime & Illustration Workshop
Join best-selling author, illustrator and designer, Aura Parker for a special storytime and illustration workshop. After a live reading of Aura’s books, 'Bowerbird Blues', 'Bowerbird Brood' and her latest bowerbird adventure, 'Bowerbird Bloom', you will learn about the Australian Satin Bowerbird, which inspired the series. Aura will share her writing process, how she comes up with ideas and creates her illustrations in watercolour, using traditional and digital techniques.
Draw along with Aura as she teaches you how to draw one of her cute bowerbird chick characters. Aura Parker's storytelling through words and pictures inspires imagination, courage and confidence in young readers as well as a love, curiosity, and passion for nature.
