This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced Basketmakers. All materials will be supplied.With expert guidance from your tutor, Deidre Cross, you will make your own unique small basket or wall-hanging using the Top Down method. This versatile technique will free you to experiment with design and materials to create both practical and sculptural forms.
Since joining Basketmakers of Victoria in 2016, Deidre has developed and honed her own basketry skills, and through tutoring and demonstrations has inspired many to extend their own creativity. Deidre is a qualified secondary teacher of History and of Visual Arts specialising in photography.
