OSSO in Concert - Homelands In HarmonyConductor Yuki Goh (class of '19) presents a program rooted in the idea of homelands and national identity. Each work is from a different country. You will hear the Overture to Verdi's Nabucco as a symbol of Italian patriotism. Tom An (class of '20) will then present Weber's clarinet concerto, its virtuosity a representation of the rise of early German romanticism. Finally, we will conclude with sounds of the Finnish landscape, a symphonic portrait of Nordic identity to capture Sibelius' reputation as a nationalistic composer.
