Sacred Resilience: Healing Trauma in Uncertain Times
WHAT: In this timely and intimate session, internationally acclaimed writer, poet, translator, mystical teacher, and the founder of the Institute for Sacred Activism, Andrew Harvey explores how Buddhist practices—especially Metta and Tonglen—offer profound psychological tools for transforming fear, grief, and rage into compassion, resilience, and empowered action. As the world faces a triple crisis—of the individual, the environment, and democracy—Andrew draws on Tibetan Buddhism and the teachings of Sri Aurobindo to frame this global “dark night” as a potential birth canal for a new, embodied humanity. Highlighting the Bodhisattva path and Vajrayana practices of the Golden Rainbow Body, Andrew offers a compelling vision of how inner spiritual work grounded in Buddhist wisdom and insight can meet the demands of our time.
