Join the PIPER Neonatal Education Team for a comprehensive and interactive study day designed to enhance the knowledge and clinical confidence of nurses caring for neonates in acute and retrieval settings.This full-day program will explore key neonatal topics including:
• Respiratory compromise and nursing considerations
• Acid-base balance and blood gas interpretation
• Meconium aspiration syndrome and PPHN
• Neonatal sepsis and seizure management
• Cyanotic vs. acyanotic cardiac conditions
• PIPER referral and retrieval process – case study-based stabilisation planning
Hands-on skills development will be incorporated through workstations, focusing on care of the neonate with a chest drain/UVC and IV antibiotic preparation.
This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate your neonatal clinical knowledge through case-based learning, practical workshops, and collaborative discussions with the PIPER team.
