Writing Through Grief workshop with Amanda Anastasi

Much has been said about the therapeutic power of writing in helping to process grief and loss. This workshop will inspire you with poems and guide you through a series of writing exercises, helping you articulate your unique grief journey and explore past memories in a new way.Amanda Anastasi is the author of 'Taking Apart the Bird Trap' (Recent Work Press, 2024), written following the sudden passing of her father and exploring childhood memories, relationships and loss. Amanda's other books are 'The Inheritors' (Black Pepper, 2021) and 'The Silences' (co-written with Robbie Coburn, 2016). She is a Wheeler Centre Hot Desk Fellow and former Poet in Residence at the Monash Climate Change Communication Research Hub. Amanda has been published both locally and internationally, including in Australian Poetry Journal, Griffith Review, Cordite Poetry Review, The Massachussets Review, Right Now and Best Australian Science Writing. She is also the convener of La Mama Poetica.
