OUR SPEAKER
Professor George Shinkle is a strategic management expert at the School of Management and Governance, UNSW Business School, with a global career spanning industry, consulting, and academia. His research focuses on strategic agility, goal setting and implementation, particularly in turbulent environments – key themes for industries facing rapid technological disruption. George has dedicated much of his international business and academic career to understanding and analysing the strategic management of organisations. Drawing from experience in engineering, manufacturing, and executive education, George blends practical insight with academic rigour to both help professionals navigate complex strategic challenges and bring real-world context into the classroom.
With a background that includes leadership roles at General Motors and co-founding an international strategy consultancy, George has worked with organisations worldwide to develop forward-thinking strategies. He is recognised for his engaging teaching in executive programs and for his award-winning research on strategy in dynamic contexts – making him well-placed to guide business owners in adapting to AI-driven transformation.
