Navigating the NDIS for support of multiple sclerosis
About
In recent times the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) have made the decision to reduce pricing for essential therapy supports including physiotherapy, speech pathology, dietetics and occupational therapy. During this webinar we share the lived experiences of consumers from the multiple sclerosis (MS) community. Our speakers are participants of our Eatright MS local consumer group and have been supported by Health Innovations consumer funding. During the webinar out consumers will explore the barriers to managing MS with and without NDIS support. From the perspectives of people living with MS we will hear about the concerns with complex care needs and how our consumers have felt a need to engage with other practical solutions to managing their health. To compliment these stories we will also hear from health professionals who see clients living with MS and explore the implications of the recent pricing changes. will conclude with an opportunity for attendees to ask questions.Location
