Down-on-his-luck Carl Fitzgerald (Neill) meets Sophie, a beautiful young woman, at his new job as a cook at a Brunswick bar. Everything seems to be on the up for Carl... until he finds himself caught in the middle of a grisly crime and turns to his unscrupulous best friend for help.
