About
Now living in Adelaide, urban artist Nikki Carabetta was born Yamaji and grew up Brinkin/ Malak-Malak or Ngangikurrunggurr. Her artwork reflects her rural Aboriginal heritage as well as her urban lifestyle including whilst incorporating elements from the elders of Kulaluk.Nikki's art is original dot art, using traditional styles with contemporary techniques and mediums. It is the combination of the two that makes her work unique.
Nikki's stunning paintings are a means to share and maintain her culture and reflect upon her personal journey, Aboriginal identity, and political issues pertinent to Aboriginal people.
