Holstein Australia is heading to Moama on 8th and 9th October for this year's National Awards Dinner, hosted by the North-West Victorian Sub-Branch. North-West Sub-branch President Shane Railton said the National Awards Dinner celebrates the people, families and herds that represent the very best of our breed. The awards event will kick off with the sub-branch North West Stars of the Future Sale on the evening of Wednesday 8 October. Before the Awards dinner on thursdy 9 October there will be an opportuity to visit three member herds, showcasing a combination of pasture based systems, partial mixed rations and total mixed ration operations. Dairy farms in the area are predominantly irrigated, taking advantage of water allocations from the Murray and Goulburn river systems.
