About
Join us during Reconciliation Week for a special community book talk exploring the untold history of the Moorooka Aboriginal Camp in the 1940s and 1950s.The event will open with a Welcome to Country, followed by a talk by one of the authors of A Forgotten History, and time for audience Q&A. We will conclude with light refreshments and a chance to continue conversations informally.
This important work shares lived experiences and stories from a pivotal era in Brisbane’s First Nations history—a time of family, resilience, and resistance.
“This book, our family treasure, represents part of the life and memories of our mother, when she was a young child growing up in the Moorooka Aboriginal camp…”
