During the Spring School holiday long-weekend the Canberra Viola Festival, during wonderful Floriade, offers violists (& viola fans) workshops, rehearsals & a closing Sunday concert for viola ensembles (your chance to be pro-actively performing) plus masterclasses, talks on viola topics, a Saturday evening Performance Potpourri, a Sunday evening 'movie night' of viola videos old & new & an optional Young Violists Day on the Monday morning. Leading presenters will include Alina Zamfir, Tor Fromyhr, Paul Groh, Robert Harris, John Ma & luthier Hugh Withycombe, with other professionals soon joining the line-up. Fun repertoire in store from Bach & Telemann to Bartok & Buenos Aires tangos, for players of AMEB Grade 5 level & above.
