9SQN Reformation Celebration and Vietnam War Commemoration

Number 9 Squadron (9SQN) reformed in June 2023 after a 34-year disbandment. It has seen active service in World War II and in the Vietnam War.To celebrate the reformation of 9SQN and commemorate the significant contribution of the veteran community and their families, 9SQN will hold a parade at Torrens Parade Ground on 16 Aug 25.
The parade will celebrate the reactivation of 9SQN, recognise the service of 9SQN veterans in Vietnam 1966 to 1971 and include a UH-1 flyover. Following the parade, guests will be invited to attend a light luncheon in the historic Torrens Parade Ground drill hall.
Timings: Please arrive no later than 9:30am, event conclusion 3:00pm.
Cost: $0
Tickets: Limited to 250 guests
Parking: Parking on Torrens Parade Ground by invitation only.
Catering: Grazing table with a varied selection. Tea, coffee and juice provided, alcohol can be purchased at own expense.
Dress: Neat civilian attire, medals welcome.
