Rock historian Glenn A Baker once described John Schumann as “one of the finest songwriters this country has produced.”A funny, incisive storyteller, John and the Vagabond Crew return to the Murray Delta Juke Joint on December 13th at 7.00 PM. They will perform a concert of songs drawn from a lifetime of poetic, emotive and compelling contributions to Australia’s national songbook.
In Redgum, John Schumann wrote their two major hits – “I was only 19” and “I’ve been to Bali Too”.
As well as John’s iconic contributions to the Redgum catalogue, this special performance will draw from his critically acclaimed solo albums, specially commissioned songs and some of his splendid interpretations of Australian classics.
John and the Crew have performed this concert to standing ovations and is regarded as one of the best concerts of the year.
