2025 Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams and Awards
Exams offer an achievable goal for students to work towards and we encourage our students to participate. The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) has set required standards within each level and candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the work to an RAD examiner from Australia or overseas. Candidates will be marked on their performance on the day.
Exam Entry – Due Sunday 13th July 2025
We enter our students as a bulk school submission with an upfront payment to the RAD, please ensure that you have completed the entry here by 5.00pm the 13 July so your child will be included with the schools submission.

The exams will be held at the Albert Park studios. The RAD has allocated sessions throughout the year with Victoria’s Grade’s session being held during Term 3, this year’s Melbourne Metro exam days are Friday 29th and Saturday 30th August. Examination dates and timetabling are managed by the RAD as soon as these are confirmed with us we will let you know.
Exam Fees
The RAD has set prices for entry into examinations and we charge a small levy of $35.00 per candidate that contributes to the running costs of the day, pianist fees, venue hire and exam uniforms.
