Wanna be the host with the most? The MC you can guarantee? The one with the mic that everybody likes?This is the workshop for you! Learn the ins and outs of running a room and keeping the ship on course with this class from two of Adelaide's most respected MCs, Libby Trainor Parker & Steyn.
This workshop is for all aspiring or practiced Hosts & MCs, looking at hosting across the board, as well as a specific look into hosting improvised shows.
About Us
On the Fly is South Australia's leading improvisational training organisation.Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this workshop besides having an interest in the workshop topic. There will likely be some practical excercises, but you won't be compelled to partake. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing so as to facilitate movement. Our classes involve verbal communication and physical movement, and participants are encouraged to participate to whatever extent their comfort permits. Libby Trainor-Parker is no stranger to hosting, stand-up and many other fields of MCing from cabaret to comedy. Libby has also owned and operated Prompt Creative Centre, facilitating a multitude of shows and showcases.Steyn comes with a strong background in improvisational theatre hosting & producing and understands the opportunities and obligations of a host when facilitating things with no run sheet or script!
TICKETING INFORMATION
Concession prices are available to individuals who are on a low income. For example: full-time students, government-issued health care card holders, people who are unemployed, pensioners, and seniors card holders. On the Fly Impro does not require proof of concession.
