Storytelling in Research
The content of this workshop is aimed at ECU Higher Degree by Research students.
The paradox of story embedded in a PhD thesis, that typically requires a structured and rigorous approach to writing, is balancing the need for academic rigour with the desire to engage readers at an emotional level. Story is hidden in plain sight through carefully constructed narrative, while always keeping in mind the context of your audience, primarily your supervisors & examiners, and ultimately those who read a PhD thesis for knowledge.
Facilitated by Bronwyne August, School of Arts and Humanities.
This workshop forms part of the unit CPR6100 - Communicating and Presenting Research. All ECU higher degree by research students are welcome to attend even if you are not enrolled in CPR6100.
In-class attendance and participation is required to receive resources.
