How do you take your tea?

About
A CDMS political workshop with Menaha Kandasamy (Sri Lanka) – presented by Community Defence Marshalling System and Workers International DiscussionSri Lanka’s tea industry – the second-biggest source of tea imports to Australia – is at a turning point.
Plantation workers, who already work to unfair quotas in unsafe conditions, have been facing a shift from permanent, full-time employment to casualisation – losing income, benefits, leave, job security and the right to unionise.
On Saturday 19 July at Balam Balam Place, join Ceylon Workers’ Red Flag Union activist Menaha Kandasamy to learn about their struggle for a fairer life, and find out how you can support them.
This is a free event. All community welcome.
