Premium Italian wine meets laid-back weekend vibes — welcome to Barolo Brunch.

When we found out Claudio Fenocchio, fifth-generation winemaker from the iconic Giacomo Fenocchio estate in Barolo, was making a last-minute trip to Australia, we moved fast. At Old Bridge, we don’t say no to a bit of fun — especially when it involves Barolo. So we cleared the decks, fired up the group chat and put together something special for Saturday 26th July.

Claudio is joining us for a brunch to end all brunches at …by Old Bridge, and he’s bringing the good stuff: six Barolos (three vintage verticals and three single-site expressions), as well as a Dolcetto, a Barbera d’Alba Superiore and a Langhe Nebbiolo, plus a sparkling on arrival.

If you’re not familiar with Claudio, he’s one of Barolo’s most respected traditionalists — a winemaker known for his elegant, expressive and terroir-driven wines. Based in Monforte d’Alba, his family estate dates back to 1864 and includes some of the region’s most prized sites. While others chased trends, Claudio stayed true to the classic style: organic farming, long macerations and ageing in large Slavonian oak casks. The result? Barolos with purity, power and poise — some of the best in Italy!

To pair his amazing wines, we’ve got local legend Chef Valerio from Flour & Fire cranking up the oven, dishing up rounds of woodfired pizzas and rustic Italian bites - trust us, he knows exactly what you want to eat with a glass of Nebbiolo in hand.
