About
The Best of the Con is always a very popular concert in Kenmore Uniting Church’s Cool & Classic series. At 2 pm on Sunday, 27th July, nine talented young singers from the Conservatorium will provide a delightful programme of opera and musical theatre.Whether you prefer the gentle Barcarolle from the Tales of Hoffman, the energetic Drinking Song from La Traviata or the drama of Carmen’s Toreador’s Song, there is variety to entertain you. On the musical theatre side, hits range from Camelot to Les Miserables with more treats from Lehar, Cole Porter and Rogers and Hammerstein.
Some of these students, about to move on in their music careers, already have experience singing at QPAC or with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Opera Queensland or overseas. As usual, you can chat with the exciting young singers over refreshments after the concert (included in ticket price). You need to turn left before the Kindergarten sign to enter the drive of the church at 982 Moggill Road, Kenmore.
